New York Central
Trackside
with Eugene Van Dusen
Bill Marvel
The first in our Trackside series, Gene Van Dusen was out “trackside” on
the western end of the “Water Level Route” with Leica in-hand and loaded
with Kodachrome in the late 1940s and early 1950s. If it wasn’t a Hudson or
Niagara, then it had to be a Mohawk or Mike. Notre Dame football specials,
blazing streamliners, and quaint country branchlines are all to be found in
this marvelous look back.
